noizSPIKE - 2600/R

"IMPRESSIVE!" - Foetus/Jim Thirwell

Since I use my 2600 in the studio so much I decided to bring it up to speed with the rest of my studio gear. I was tired of another desktop box and I have plenty of rack space. So why not rack mount the ATARI 2600?
What started as a drawing on a piece of paper quickly became the noizSPIKE-2600/R.

The following pics are what I did to make the noizSPIKE-2600/R......

First was all the soldering........
(The ATARIAGE and VCSp site was a mega help!! THANKS!!)

Found a blank 19" rack enclosure at an electronics outlet store.
(Thank you to TAURIAN PIERCING & METALS for cutting the holes)

New case vs. old case

The guts........

At home with the rest of the noiz toys.............
To hear the noizSPIKE-2600/R in action go to the ASTROGENIC HALLUCINAUTING page.

The tracks "so-flow" features the noizSPIKE-2600/R and many other video game machines.
The track "AudC" is made entirely with the noizSPIKE-2600/R.

And if you are wondering....Why flourescent GREEN??!!

why not?

I don't have another piece of gear that's that color and it REALLY stands out in the studio.........
(I might repaint it purple though...or better yet....phosphorous?)
